Mid-Century Meets Modern In The Cocoon Chair Revival

The cocoon chair is trending hard again — and it’s not hard to see why. These stylish pods offer a cosy retreat with visual punch, making them a top pick for garden swing laid-back luxury living.

Originally seen in mid-century homes, cocoon chairs were made to create a soft barrier, giving you your own quiet space — even in busy spaces. Today’s versions come in rattan frames, often paired with bouclé cushions.

From contemporary townhouses to hotel lobbies, cocoon-style seating is being used to add a sculptural element.

**Why They Work:**
- Orb-like shapes that feel safe
- Acoustic absorption
- Bold shapes that photograph well
- Retro, but not dated

Designers and style-savvy homeowners are using cocoon chairs to define lounge areas. Add a floor lamp and a rug — it’s ready for Pinterest.
